StarLine on the Toyota Highlander in Astana
I install StarLine security systems with remote start on the Toyota Highlander in Astana, coming to you. Custom install: 5 to 12 hours, 8 on average — with soft handover, smart comfort and logic written for the specific car.
A large three-row crossover — one of the cars I have fitted StarLine E7 to.
What matters on this car
In a big cabin the placement of the siren and sensors matters: otherwise the volume sensor reads the third row unevenly and the siren carries less than it should. I space them so the alarm covers the whole volume, and route wiring through factory channels.
On trims with a Start/Stop button I do the soft handover — the engine keeps running when you open the door after a remote start.

FAQ
What does a StarLine install on the Toyota Highlander cost?
The price depends on the car and the set of functions. Send the model, year and trim — I quote an exact figure before the work starts, with no surprises later.
How long does the work take?
A basic install takes 2–4 hours. A custom one, with soft handover and logic written for the car, takes 5 to 12 hours, 8 on average.
Can the Toyota Highlander be started from a phone?
Yes, on StarLine systems with a GSM/LTE module — through the app, with no distance limit.
Will the dealer warranty on the Toyota Highlander hold?
An honest answer: it depends on what we do. Remote start, alarm functions and a Push Start retrofit connect over CAN/LIN and through factory connectors — nothing needs cutting there, it is all built on flexible logic. But a soft handover on a car that came with a Start/Stop button from the factory always means cutting into a factory circuit; there is no other way to build it, and on some cars a diode is added on top, spliced in as well. The exception is a key-ignition car being retrofitted with Push Start: there the soft handover is already part of the system and nothing has to be cut. I tell you this before the work starts, and joints are soldered and insulated. And separately: a dealer can raise a claim about any aftermarket equipment, even when the fault has nothing to do with it.
