How a custom install differs from a basic one
Basic install
The alarm locks, unlocks and starts by a template. Two to four hours and the car is done. Comfort functions stay on the factory buttons.
Custom install
Built from scratch with no templates — 5 to 12 hours, 8 on average. I write flexible logic for the specific car and add functions the stock firmware does not have.
Soft handover
On Start/Stop cars the engine keeps running when you disarm and get in. No factory key is hidden in the cabin — it is done by changing the logic, not with a bypass module.
What others skip
Disabling i-Stop and Auto Hold; retrofitting Toyota with a factory Push Start button and keyless entry using the stock sensors through StarLine logic.

How much is a custom install in Astana?
It depends on the car and the function set. Send the model and year — I quote the exact figure before starting.
How long does it take?
A basic install takes 2 to 4 hours. A custom one from scratch, with flexible logic and comfort wiring, takes 5 to 12 hours, 8 on average.
What is soft handover and why does it matter?
On Start/Stop cars the engine usually dies when you disarm the car and get in. Soft handover passes the running engine to the driver seamlessly. I do it by changing the logic, without hiding the factory key in the cabin — the key stays with you.
Will it void the dealer warranty on a new car?
An honest answer: it depends on what we do. Remote start, alarm functions and a Push Start retrofit connect over CAN/LIN and through factory connectors — nothing needs cutting there, it is all built on flexible logic. But a soft handover on a car that came with a Start/Stop button from the factory always means cutting into a factory circuit; there is no other way to build it, and on some cars a diode is added on top, spliced in as well. The exception is a key-ignition car being retrofitted with Push Start: there the soft handover is already part of the system and nothing has to be cut. I tell you this before the work starts, and joints are soldered and insulated. And separately: a dealer can raise a claim about any aftermarket equipment, even when the fault has nothing to do with it.
Can you disable i-Stop or Auto Hold?
Yes, that is one of my specialities — along with adding any custom button or function on request.
Will you fix someone else’s installation?
I don’t patch up another installer’s work: in someone else’s wiring there is no way to see what was cut and where, so I can’t stand behind the result. I only do a full reinstall — the old harness comes out and the system goes in from scratch.
Why so few jobs?
I study at university in Astana, so I work afternoons and weekends and pick jobs where quality matters more than volume.
